Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Box Office Collection Day 8: Within just one week of its release, Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' has surpassed the Rs 80 crore milestone, solidifying its position as a blockbuster. Fans are flocking to theatres to witness the charming chemistry between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on the big screen. 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is a delightful family entertainer that seamlessly blends old-school romance with a contemporary twist.

The movie made a grand opening at the box office on July 28, collecting a staggering Rs 11.10 crore. As per early trade estimates, the film earned Rs 6.90 crore on its eighth day, August 4. Though the film's pace had slowed down on weekdays, it still managed to successfully cross the Rs 80 crore mark in India on Friday, with the total collection now reaching Rs 80.23 crore. On August 4, the movie recorded an overall occupancy rate of 19.73 per cent.

'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is a romantic comedy directed by Karan Johar and penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. The film is a collaborative effort of Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. Alongside the lead pair of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the movie also features talented actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Notably, Saif Ali Khan's son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, contributed to the film as an assistant director.

The movie was filmed in multiple locations, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Russia, and Jammu and Kashmir. Pritam composed the music for the film, while Manush Nandan took charge of the cinematography.

The plot revolves around Rocky (played by Ranveer Singh), an exuberant Punjabi, and Rani (portrayed by Alia Bhatt), an intellectual Bengali journalist, who unexpectedly fall in love despite their contrasting personalities. Confronted with opposition from their families, they decide to live with each other's families for three months before tying the knot.
