Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor's adorable reunion at IIFA 2025 is dominating our social media feed. The latter was spotted conversing with Kabir Singh actor during the award show's press conference on Saturday.
Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were seen giving one other a tender hug, smiling and chatting briefly while the paparazzi captured the moment for us to swoon over. The actor has now reacted to their interaction soon after the video went viral.
Fir Shahid Kapoor, his surprising encounter with his former girlfriend and co-star Kareena Kapoor was a 'totally normal' encounter, but their fans may have been delighted by their unexpected reunion.
Shahid Kapoor said, "For us, it's nothing new...aaj stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte (today we met on stage but we keep running into each other here and there) hai but it's totally normal for us...if people felt nice, it's nice, " speaking with media on green carpet of IIFA digital awards.

For the unversed, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, lit up screens with their chemistry in movies like Fida, Chup Chup Ke, and the cult classic Jab We Met. However, they chose to part ways right before Jab We Met ended as their love journey took a different course. Years later, Shahid Kaooor married Mira Rajput and has two sons and a daughter, while Kareena Kapoor Khan exchanged wedding vows with Saif Ali Khan. The duo have two sons, Taimur and Jeh.
Talking about the ongoing IIFA 2025, Rajasthan's Jaipur is hosting the 25th edition. Shahid and Kareena will both perform individually on Sunday. While the Deva actor will groove to his popular tunes, audience will witness Kareena Kapoor honoring her grandfather, the renowned filmmaker Raj Kapoor.
