Bollywood fans were in for a surprise as exes Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor shared a warm hug at the IIFA 2025 press conference in Jaipur. The two former co-stars, who once dated in the 2000s, were seen chatting and sharing a friendly moment, much to the delight of onlookers.
The moment was captured by paparazzi and soon went viral, with fans of their iconic characters Geet and Aditya from Jab We Met reacting with excitement. Social media was flooded with comments like, "Finally acting like mature individuals," and "Miracle! Happy to see this." Many expressed their disbelief, with one user writing, "Omg, kya ho gaya yeh (What has happened)."

Kareena and Shahid were among Bollywood’s most adored couples in the early 2000s. They starred together in Fida, Chup Chup Ke, and the much-loved Jab We Met. However, their relationship ended before the latter’s filming began. Over the years, they moved on in their personal lives—Kareena married Saif Ali Khan and has two sons, while Shahid tied the knot with Mira Rajput and has a son and daughter.
The 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is being held in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The festivities kicked off on March 8 with the Sobha Realty IIFA Digital Awards, celebrating achievements in OTT and digital entertainment.
The grand finale on March 9 will recognize excellence in cinema, with Kartik Aaryan hosting the main event. Kareena will take the stage for a special performance, including a tribute to her legendary grandfather, Raj Kapoor. This year’s IIFA will also pay homage to the classic film Sholay, ensuring a nostalgic experience for cinema lovers.
