South Indian superstars Ajith Kumar and Nandamuri Balakrishna have been conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award, the third-highest civilian honour in India. This esteemed recognition is a testament to their remarkable contributions to the field of arts, which have captivated audiences and inspired generations. The official announcement, made by the Indian government, includes a total of 19 recipients who have made significant impacts in their respective fields.
In addition to the esteemed recognition bestowed upon Ajith Kumar and Nandamuri Balakrishna, several other notable individuals from the world of arts and literature have also been honoured with prestigious awards. Actor Anant Nag and actress Shobana have also been awarded the Padma Bhushan award.

On the professional front, Ajith Kumar has a plethora of exciting projects lined up for release in the near future. Currently, he has two highly anticipated films awaiting release, namely Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly. Initially, Vidaamuyarchi was slated to hit the theaters during the festive occasion of Pongal, but unfortunately, its release was postponed, and a new release date is yet to be announced. On the other hand, Good Bad Ugly has a confirmed release date of April 10 and fans are eagerly counting down the days until they can witness Ajith's magic on the big screen once again.
On the other hand, Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently basking in the success of Daaku Maharaaj. The movie, also starring Urvashi Rautela, opened strong with Rs 23.35 cr on its release day and earned Rs 74.6 cr in its first week, driven by positive word-of-mouth, but saw a decline in numbers in its second week.
According to the latest box office reports from Sacnilk, the Telugu film experienced a noticeable decline in its collections on its second Friday, which marked the 13th day of its theatrical run. The movie managed to add approximately Rs 58 lakhs to its total tally, which, although a modest amount, has helped to push the film's overall estimated nett collection to a respectable Rs 84.03 crores.
