Adah Sharma-starrer 'The Kerala Story' has sparked several debates regarding the accuracy of the film. Despite the controversies, the movie has successfully attracted the audience to theatres and has been performing well at the box office. Now, 'The Kerala Story' will be declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath tweeted that 'The Kerala Story' has been made tax-free in the state. Moreover, CM Yogi is expected to watch the film in a special screening along with his Cabinet Ministers.

Meanwhile, the Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh said, "Making 'The Kerala Story' tax-free is a very good decision. I want the people of Uttar Pradesh to watch this film and understand how our sisters have suffered. We will also go and watch the film. The people in West Benegal will not accept the ban on this film."

Meanwhile, 'The Kerala Story' has been performing exceptionally well at the box office and has collected around Rs Rs 45.75 crore approximately till Monday.

Recently, a crew member of 'The Kerala Story' received a threatening message from an unknown number. According to the Mumbai Police, Sudipto Sen informed police about the same and the message threatened the person not to step out alone from home.

"The message threatened the said person not to step out alone from home and that they didn't do a good thing by showing the story," Police said. The police have provided security to the crew member but FIR has not been registered as they are yet to receive a written complaint.

Recently, Adah Sharma condemned those who called 'The Kerala Story' a 'propaganda' film. She wrote, "Standing ovation in theatres, the honourable PM mentioning our film #TheKeralaStory, critics and the audience applauding my performance, HOUSEFULL messages from so many of you, bumper opening! I could never have dreamed of so much. All your dreams for me are coming true #Grateful."

"And for the few still calling #TheKeralaStory a propaganda film, saying these incidents do not exist even after watching testimonials of several Indian victims and their parents, my humble request, Google two words ISIS and Brides...maybe an account of white girls narrated to you might make you feel that our Indian movie is real," Adah further added.

'The Kerala Story' stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani. The movie was released in theatres on May 5, 2023.
