Upcoming Spin-Offs Web Series Of Popular Franchises On OTT: Several production houses have been creating prequels, sequels and spin-offs of the already established and popular film franchises due to their massive success worldwide. These new projects have expanded the world of these popular film franchises and have been receiving an amazing response from viewers worldwide. A recent example of a successful spin-off is 'House Of The Dragon' and it has completed its two seasons.
Take a look at the list of the upcoming spin-off web series based on popular film franchises and television shows.
1. A Knight Of Seven Kingdom
'A Knight Of Seven Kingdoms' is the prequel and spin-off of 'Game Of Thrones'. It is an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends. The show will release in 2025.

2. It: Welcome To Derry
'Welcome To Derry' is the prequel to 'It' movie and is based on Stephen King's 1986 novel 'It'. Bill Skarsgård will be seen as Pennywise again and the show will release on HBO in 2025.

3. Gen V Season 2
'Gen V' is the spin-off of the popular Prime Video series 'The Boys' and will focus on the students at Godolkin, who will put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking. 'The Boys' is set in a world where superpowered individuals are recognized as heroes by the general public and work for a powerful corporation known as Vought International that markets and monetizes them.

4. Dune Prophecy
'Dune Prophecy' is the spin-off of 'Dune 1 & 2' and is set 10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides. The show focuses on two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Bollywood star Tabu will also be seen in the series. It will release on Max in the Fall of 2024.

5. The Rings Of Power
'The Rings Of Power' is the spin-off and prequel of 'The Lord Of The Rings' film franchise. The series is based on the novel The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien and is set in thousands of years before Tolkien's The Hobbit and 'The Lord of the Rings' in the Second Age of Middle-earth.
6. House Of The Dragon Season 3
'House Of The Dragon' is set 200 years before the events of 'Game of Thrones' and 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen. The plot focuses on Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, who fights against Queen Alicent Hightower for her claim to the throne. The series will return for its third season and will release in 2026.
