Mithun Chakraborty Health Update: Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty, known for his dynamic on-screen presence, has recently made headlines as he battles a health setback. Admitted to a hospital in Kolkata on Saturday morning, the actor, aged 73, was diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident, commonly known as a stroke. Despite the concerning diagnosis, there's optimism surrounding his recovery journey.

According to an official statement from the hospital, Chakraborty was brought in with complaints of weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. However, the statement reassures that he is fully conscious, well-oriented, and is currently receiving the necessary medical attention. A team of specialized doctors, including neuro-physicians, cardiologists, and gastroenterologists, are closely monitoring his condition.

Chakraborty's health setback comes amidst his recent accolades and political endeavours. The actor, honoured with the Padma Bhushan Award in 2024, has been an influential figure in both the entertainment industry and politics. Notably, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2021, a move that aligned him with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, symbolized by a historic gathering at Kolkata's Brigade Parade Ground.

The actor's hospitalization has attracted attention not only from his fans but also from political circles. West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar paid a visit to the hospital to meet Chakraborty, expressing solidarity and support during this challenging time. Additionally, former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly was seen arriving at the hospital, indicating the widespread concern and well-wishes pouring in for the veteran actor.

In a heartening video clip shared on social media by news agency ANI, Chakraborty can be seen conversing with a doctor in the hospital room. Despite the seriousness of his condition, there's a sense of optimism as the actor engages in conversation and gestures towards his feet, signifying a degree of mobility and communication.

Chakraborty's career spanning several decades has been marked by iconic performances in films like 'Disco Dancer', 'Agneepath', and 'Ghar Ek Mandir', among others. His versatility as an actor and his magnetic screen presence have earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim.
