Ayodhya Rape Case: A bakery owned by the prime accused of the Ayodhya rape case was razed to the ground on Saturday, a day after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the victim's family and assured of strict action against the culprits. Earlier, the Bakery owner was given a notice after it was found to be illegally constructed. Heavy police deployment and use of surveillance drones were witnessed during the district administration's bulldozer action on Saturday.
The key accused Moid Khan, city president of Samajwadi Party, was arrested earlier by Ayodhya police from the Purakalandar area along with another accused and his employee Raju Khan on July 30. Moid had allegedly raped the 12-year-old minor and recorded the act on his phone. These recordings were later used to further threaten and blackmail the victim, police said.
The primary police investigation also found that the employee Raju Khan also raped the victim. The crime came to the fore when a medical examination of the victim revealed her pregnancy, The Hindustan Times reported.
"Over two-and-a-half months, Khan continued to sexually abuse her, using the video to intimidate and threaten her. Khan committed these acts with the assistance of Raju, his employee," Ayodhya SSP Karan Nayyar said.

"The bakery had one big room and one small room. It was illegally built over a pond, and has been demolished," he added.

The action came after the victim's family met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and demanded strict punishment for the culprits. After she met with the CM, the victim's mother said: "CM has assured that there will be bulldozer action and exemplary punishment for the culprit."
Ayodhya MP Reacts: 'Don't Do Politics'
Reacting to the development, Ayodhya Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad said that BJP should not play politics over the issue. He demanded strict action against the culprits but did not name key accused Moid Khan in his statement.
"As far as this incident is concerned, it is very painful and shameful. All the people involved in this incident should be investigated, the truth should be found out and whoever is guilty action should be taken with full force against them...And as far as the victim is concerned, our party completely stands with the victim. It is unfortunate that the Bharatiya Janata Party is doing politics on this. I humbly request such people that this is not a moment for politics...Innocents should not be framed and DNA test should be conducted. She (victim) should be helped financially as well... I have never allowed anyone to come near me who has even the slightest connection with the crime. I have never taken any kind of help from them. As far as the photo (with the accused) is concerned. Lakhs of people click pictures with us, take selfies... BJP should not do this kind of politics," the MP said.
