Jan Suraaj, which is making inroads in Bihar ahead of assembly polls, "will make its mark in the election in 2025," said Prashant Kishor on Monday. The entry of Kishor into the electoral battle besides the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will likely make it tough for both the RJD and JDU.
Speaking with reporters ahead of the padyatra on Monday, he said that Jan Suraaj will contest all 243 assembly seats in the state. He also said his party will take decisive decisions for the development of Bihar. Meanwhile, the District President of JDU's Backward Cell has resigned from the party and joined Prashant Kishor's party along with other leaders.
In his resignation letter sent to the party president, he said that he was being ignored by the JDU. He said in the letter that he worked for the party selflessly for eight years while holding various posts. But he was not getting the respect he should have received at the party. He also added that he joined Jan Suraaj because of the ideas of Prashant Kishor.
During this, Prashant Kishore also explained the reasons for the BJP getting votes in the assembly elections. He said that there are four reasons for the BJP getting votes. First, the Hindutva ideology; second, new nationalism; third, a very large section consists of the beneficiaries of the schemes of the centre. He said that the party's organizational and economic strength also make a lot of difference. Kishor added that the other parties will have to be strong in comparison to the BJP.
Assembly polls in Bihar are likely to be held in 2025. Currently, the state is being ruled by Nitish Kumar's JDU and Lalu Prasad's RJD in coalition. Kumar jumped on the BJP's ship months after they formed the government in Bihar. He joined hands with Tejashwi Yadav and formed their government in the state.
