Chhath Special Train: With the Chhath puja drawing close and attracting massive crowds of passengers, Ranchi and Hatia railway stations are bracing for an influx of travellers heading to Bihar and other destinations.
To accommodate this surge and ensure smooth travel for devotees, the railway authorities have announced the operation of seven special trains from these stations on Saturday.
The introduction of these special trains will provide confirmed tickets to many passengers, easing their journey to key destinations such as Gorakhpur, Jaynagar, and Patna. In response to the rising passenger numbers during the festive season, including Navratri, Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath, the railways have rolled out an unprecedented 20 pairs of special trains this year to cater to the demand.
Special Trains In Operation
Among the key Chhath special trains operating from the Ranchi Railway Division on Saturday is the 08629 Ranchi–Gorakhpur Weekly Chhath Special, which will depart from Ranchi at 4:50 PM, passing through Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, Jasidih, and Patna before reaching Gorakhpur.
-The 08105 Ranchi–Jaynagar Weekly Chhath Special train will leave Ranchi at 9:25 PM, travelling via Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, Jasidih, Barauni, Darbhanga, and Madhubani to reach Jaynagar.
-The 08621 Ranchi–Kamakhya Weekly Chhath Special is scheduled to depart Ranchi at 8:00 PM, making stops at Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, Jasidih, Katihar, New Bongaigaon, and Rangiya en route to Kamakhya.
-The 08795 Durg–Patna Chhath Special (via Ranchi) will leave Ranchi at 12:40 PM, passing through Hatia, Ranchi, Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, and Jasidih to reach Patna.
-The 08889 Gondia–Patna Chhath Special (via Ranchi) will depart Ranchi at 2:40 AM on October 26, travelling via Hatia, Bokaro Steel City, Dhanbad, and Jasidih to reach Patna.
-The 02831 Dhanbad–Bhubaneswar Special (via Ranchi) will leave Ranchi at 7:45 PM, covering Hatia, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda before arriving in Bhubaneswar.

Return Train Schedule
-In the reverse direction, the 02832 Bhubaneswar–Dhanbad Special (via Ranchi) will depart Ranchi at 6:35 AM, passing through Rourkela, Hatia, and Ranchi to reach Dhanbad.
