Delhi Traffic Advisory: In a major update for the commuters, the Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday issued an advisory ahead of an event scheduled at Rajghat. As per the advisory, the event is likely to affect movement of vehicles around central and east Delhi in the early hours. The restrictions were announced to manage the rush, as the event is likely to be attended by several dignitaries. The authority has advised the commuters to follow the guidelines and plan their days accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
As per the traffic police advisory, the vehicles might be diverted at several sites, including Rajghat Chowk, ITO Chowk, Delhi Gate Chowk, Guru Nanak Chowk, Rajghat DTC Depot, and the IP Flyover. The authority further stated that restrictions will be imposed on major roads such as Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Shanti Van to IP Flyover, and Ashaf Ali Road up to NS Marg.

The authority further stated that the diversion is also likely to be enforced along other roads to manage the rush, including Shantivan Chowk to Nishad Raj Marg, Guru Nanak Chowk to Ranjeet Singh flyover, and from Rajghat DTC Depot towards the Ring Road bypass.
The authority clarified that the restrictions will be eased after 11 am, leading to conveniences for the commuters. It further advised the passengers heading towards the airport and New Delhi railway station to avoid the abovementioned roads to escape the rush. The traffic police further advised the commuters to park their vehicles only at the designated spaces.
In another update, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken on the responsibility of making three congested corridors free of traffic jams. The NHAI has initiated the process of preparing feasibility studies and detailed project reports (DPRs) for these busy routes.
