Delhi Weather Today: The national capital of India, Delhi, is set to experience a mix of weather patterns on June 6, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting a partly cloudy sky and the possibility of dust storms or thunderstorms accompanied by very light rain and gusty winds.

While, Just a day prior, Delhiites were pleasantly surprised by a sudden spell of rain that had brought the soaring temperatures down to below 40 degrees Celsius, a welcome respite from the scorching heat that had dominated the city for much of the day.

Delhi Weather: Check 7-Day Forecast

According to the IMD, the capital is likely to witness thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometres per hour. The adjacent city, Noida is also expected to experience a similar pattern, with rain or thundershowers and strong gusty winds.

The IMD has issued a Yellow alert for Delhi, which will remain in effect until June 6th. On that day, the city is forecast to see a dust storm or thunderstorm, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature for Wednesday was 31 degrees Celsius and it is expected to drop to 30 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

The weather forecast also predicts light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (30-50 km/h) over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi during June 5-7, Uttar Pradesh on 6 and Rajasthan during the 5-8 of June.
