Police Trace Wedding Witnesses

According to an NDTV report, two of Siya Goyal's college friends allegedly acted as witnesses to the wedding and signed the marriage documents at the registrar's office.

The report claims that a wedding photo of Siya and Chetan wearing garlands was posted on a private Instagram account linked to Sia, but it was later deleted. Efforts are underway to recover this photo.

Police Investigating Possible Violation

The Special Marriage Act requires a public notice before a marriage is registered. Police are also investigating whether any middlemen were paid to facilitate the alleged secret marriage and bypass the mandatory public notice.

The case dates back to June 18, when Ketan Agrawal's fiancee, 22-year-old Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, allegedly pushed him off a cliff at Lohagad Fort after making multiple failed attempts to kill him.

Investigators have alleged that the murder was not impulsive but the culmination of weeks of planning, including multiple failed attempts and a rehearsal conducted days before the crime took place.
