Gujarat Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has rainy conditions for the citizens of South Gujarat. Due to the progress of monsoon, light to moderate rains accompanied by strong winds may occur at scattered places in Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi and Dang districts of South Gujarat on Thursday.

According to the weather department's forecast, there will be no major change in the maximum temperature in most parts of Gujarat during the next seven days. Cities including Ahmedabad and Rajkot will experience similar heat as they are currently, with the mercury likely to touch 40 degrees Celsius or more.

Rain Forecast In THESE Gujarat Districts From June 12 To 16

Due to the rain system moving towards Gujarat, the rainfall will increase in various parts of South Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Saurashtra from June 12 to June 16. During this period, light to moderate rainfall is likely at scattered places in Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang and Valsad districts.

Monsoon Update

At present, the monsoon line is passing through Chennai in the south and Siliguri in the east. According to the IMD report, conditions are favourable for the advance of monsoon over Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, entire Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and some parts of Chhattisgarh in the next 3-4 days. In terms of temperature, the mercury will drop in northwest India from June 11 to 13, but from June 14, the temperature may rise again by 2-4 degrees Celsius.

India Weather Update

IMD has issued a warning of rain, thunderstorm and strong winds for 16 states of the country on Thursday. The impact of this change will be seen in states including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand, where winds can blow at a speed of 60 km/hr in some areas. On the other hand, the southwest monsoon is also slowly moving towards Gujarat, due to which many districts of the state will witness rainy weather in the coming days.
