IKEA Online Delivery In Delhi-NCR: The Swedish furniture giant IKEA plans to start offering online delivery services from March 1, 2025, in Delhi-NCR and nine North Indian satellite cities, including Agra, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ludhiana, and Varanasi.
IKEA India CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer Susanne Pulverer said at an event on February 27 that the business will use 50 electric vehicles for deliveries to start the service.
In order to guarantee quicker, more considerate, and more economical deliveries, IKEA will keep improving its restocking and fulfillment capabilities while revolutionising last-mile delivery. IKEA India intends to switch to all-electric vehicles in order to meet its climate targets by 2030, with its delivery partners powering all deliveries in the north, she added.
Furniture, home and kitchen appliances, and nearly every other item will soon be delivered online by the online and offline home furnishing brand through its website and app. Now, customers may shop from over 7000 goods via the IKEA website, app, and phone support.
“Ever since our first store opening in Hyderabad, IKEA continues to receive endless love and anticipation from the north of India through hundreds of orders coming in from these cities through our B2B channels, consistent online visitation, app downloads, as well as a steady stream of social media enquiries. This has been a missing piece in our India story," she said.
"Now, it's our turn to reciprocate and we’ve been eagerly waiting to bring IKEA to North India. As we continue to strengthen our omni-channel growth in the country, this launch in Delhi NCR and other markets will be a strong foundation for our future growth in the region,” Susanne Pulverer said.
The business claimed that around a million clients had already joined this community in Delhi NCR prior to its official launch into the market.
