IKEA Online Delivery In Delhi-NCR: Delhi-NCR residents can rejoice now. The massive Swedish retailer IKEA plans to start offering online delivery in Delhi-NCR. IKEA entered the Indian market seven years before. According to The Indian Express, the business would launch e-commerce operations in cooperation with Rhenus Logistics of Germany, using a 1.5 lakh square foot facility in Gurugram.
The e-commerce business will likely be launched prior to the establishment of its physical outlets in the region. The Gurugram and Noida stores are currently under development.
Currently, IKEA's online delivery service is confined to four states: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Telangana, where it also has stores in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai.
IKEA's e-commerce division is essential to its India strategy, accounting for around 30% of total sales. Last June, IKEA teamed with Rhenus Logistics to support its growth into Delhi-NCR, with online deliveries set to commence in early 2025.

Rhenus Logistics, at the time, said, "India is currently the world's fourth-largest furniture market, rising rapidly from tenth place 10 years ago."
They said that Delhi NCR is ideally situated for Rhenus India's supply chain expertise due to the region's rising demand for upscale real estate in places like Gurugram, Noida, and Delhi.
IKEA is preparing for its first offline business in the area in addition to its online growth. The shop in Gurugram, which is anticipated to be the biggest in Delhi-NCR, would have a huge retail area of four lakh square feet and a restaurant with 1,000 seats that serves a combination of Swedish and Indian food.
In September 2024, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, laid the foundation stone for the Noida store's construction. By 2028, it should be open.
