Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are set to witness very heavy rainfall in the coming days. The weather department, while providing details, stated that the coastal regions are set to receive heavy rainfall along with gusty winds and thunderstorms. Apart from this, the northern districts are also likely to experience light rain in the coming days.
Rain Likely In Coastal Regions
While providing details, the weather department stated that heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in several regions of the coastal districts, including Udupi, Uttara Kannada, and Dakshina Kannada. Along with rain, the residents of these districts are also likely to witness lightning and gusty winds. The IMD further stated that light to moderate rainfall will occur at some places in Bagalkot, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburgi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, and Yadgiri districts.
Bengaluru Weather Update
The IMD also stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of Bellary, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara, and Tumkur districts. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in several regions, causing inconvenience to the daily commuters.
While the maximum temperature of Bengaluru is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to be calculated around 22 degrees Celsius. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings during the rain to avoid any inconveniences.
Other States To Receive Rain
Along with the coastal regions of Karnataka, several other states, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa, are also set to witness light to heavy rainfall in the coming days. However, the weather department has stated that several states, especially the central parts, have not received sufficient rain this year.
