MP Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Madhya Pradesh are likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall for the next few days. As per the weather department, 45 districts are set to experience thunderstorms and lightning at least till Sunday. The rainfall is likely to provide relief from the heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and stay updated.
As per the weather department, an orange alert has been issued for strong storms in several districts, including Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar-Malwa, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Sagar, and Damoh. It stated that the weather in these regions could change suddenly in the upcoming days. The continuous rainfall is also likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences.

Apart from this, the other districts such as Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Dhar, Alirajpur, Burhanpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Jhabua, Ujjain, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Gwalior, Guna, Datia, Morena, Bhind, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Balaghat, Mandla, Pandhurna, Satna, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, and Niwari are also likely to witness similar weather conditions.
Earlier on Thursday, storms and rainfall were recorded in more than 20 districts of the state. As per the weather department, Ratlam received the highest rainfall, approximately one and a half inches, while rain was also recorded in several other districts, including Bhopal, Indore, Sheopur, Jhabua, Raisen, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Jabalpur, and Chhatarpur.

The IMD has advised people to stay away from trees and electricity poles during strong winds and rain. The weather conditions in several parts of the state could remain critical over the next 24 hours. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, several other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Delhi, are likely to witness similar weather conditions in the upcoming days.
