- Delhi Police to file complaints against three women.
Jagran Correspondent | New Delhi: In a sharp turn of events, Delhi Police revealed that three women who accused ACP Vivek Bhagat of molestation were posing as fake journalists to defame him. Officials confirmed that legal action is likely to be taken against all three accusers for making the false claims. The allegations were originally levelled during a CJP-led protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Fake Video Circulated
According to officials, a fabricated picture was circulated online in a deliberate attempt to frame ACP Bhagat and defame him during the Jantar Mantar protests. During the investigation, the Delhi police found that the man made a fake video, featuring officer Bhagat molesting a woman during the Jantar Mantar protest. The fake video showed Bhagat in the protest at a time when he was not present at the site.
#WATCH | Delhi: Manjeet, Addl DCP, New Delhi says, "On 3rd October, we saw a footage circulating on social media wherein it is being shown as the CCTV footage from the protest site. It is being portrayed that an individual in Police uniform is misbehaving with a woman. Through social media, the identity of the officer is being revealed. When we examined it, we found that one Nadeem Ahmed, a r/o Palwal, Haryana was running that channel. We arrested him. In the initial questioning, he told us that he is an independent journalist. He told us that he had studied till class 10 in Madrasa of Saket, Delhi. He also told us that he is a 10th-fail. Upon further questioning, he told us that he has AI tools, with the help of which he keeps making such videos. When we asked him why he made such videos, he told us that he wanted to tarnish the image of Police so that the protesters coming there would start harbouring hatred for the Police and start attacking them. We took immediate cognisance of this and arrested him. We will take him into police remand and further question him. His source of funding and accomplices are matters of investigation. We have seized his phone for further analysis. He became more active during CJP protest. So, we will analyse if this is part of any bigger conspiracy..."

As the probe intensifies, the Delhi police cyber cell has arrested the man, named Nadeem Ahmed, who created the fake page on social media and spread the misinformation. The police are investigating whether the young man who created the internet media page is affiliated with the CJP or any other party.
Ahmed, who described himself as a 10th-fail independent journalist educated at a Delhi madrasa, admitted using AI tools specifically to tarnish image of the polie and encourage protesters to attack officers, becoming more active during the CJP protests.
Attempts of CJP To Defame Bhagat?
The Delhi police said that the Cockroach Janta Party has plotted against Bhagat and created a fake case against him. According to Jagran.com, during the Jantar Mantar-NEET-UG protests in In July, ACP Bhagat was brutally beaten and assaulted by the CJP members. The situation may have been worsened if DCP of the cops had not rescued him.
Following the assault, Bhagat was hospitalised for 10 days in Delhi. It is reported that the CJP once again targeted the cop amid the protest.
Mass Mobilisation Planned On October 10
As the ECI-SIR row intensifies, the CJP’s chief spokesperson, Saurav Das, said that police might arrest him, Abhijeet Dipke and others before October 10. Urging protesters to mobilise for the demonstration, Das claimed the Centre would be mistaken to believe such "dictatorial actions" could suppress their movement. “The younger generation has awakened. We appeal to everyone to continue fighting for our rights and future, with or without us,” he said.
