FASTag Annual Pass Rules Explained: Check Price, Toll Crossings, Eligibility And How To Apply

FASTag Annual Pass: The FASTag Annual Pass has crossed the 1 crore sales milestone within just one year of its launch. The annual travel pass is priced at Rs 3,075, which offers 1 year of validity or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, making highway travel more convenient for eligible non-commercial vehicle owners.

Is the FASTag Annual Pass available for all vehicles?

The FASTag Annual Pass is available for non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag. After paying the one-time fee through the Rajmargyatra app, the pass is activated on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) recently introduced ‘OneTag’, a FASTag portability service available through the Rajmargyatra app.

The service allows FASTag users to change their issuing bank while retaining the existing FASTag installed on their vehicle. This eliminates the need to obtain a new physical tag.

To check eligibility for OneTag portability, FASTag users can log in to the Rajmargyatra app and enter their vehicle registration number. The existing issuer bank will then send a six-digit Mobile Verification Code (MVC) to the user.

After authorisation, users can select a new issuer to complete the portability process. They will then need to complete customer verification and onboard their FASTag wallet with the new issuer.

FASTag Annual Pass: How to Apply?

Eligible users can apply for the FASTag Annual Pass by following these steps:

Step 1: Install the Rajmargyatra app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Open the app and select the FASTag Annual Pass option.

Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page. Keep your vehicle registration number handy.

Step 4: Enter your vehicle details. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Enter the OTP to proceed to the payment page.

Step 6: Enter your UPI, debit card, or credit card details and complete the payment. The FASTag Annual Pass will be activated within two hours of successful payment.
