The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday carried out searches at 10 locations in Hyderabad and Zaheerabad. The probe agency said the action was part of the earlier searches, and in pursuance of the search warrants issued by the court.
Searches were conducted today at several different locations in Hyderabad and Zaheerabad limits, including the residences of suspected benamis who are alleged to have financial and other transactions with the accused officer, the ACB said in a statement released on X.

Rs 1.35 Crore In Cash Found
During the searches, several documents and other items forming part of the evidence relating to the suspected benami assets were seized from the residences of the suspected benamis. Further, an amount of Rs 1.35 crore in cash was found at the residence of Bomma Venkatesh.

In addition, foreign currency and approximately 14 litres of foreign liquor were also found. An intimation regarding the foreign liquor was given to the Excise Department for taking necessary action, and a case is likely to be registered by the concerned Excise authorities as per law.
What Is The Case?
The searches were linked to a Rs 300-crore disproportionate assets case, involving suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, who was arrested on July 6 following an earlier round of searches. He was serving as DSP, Police Computer Services, Hyderabad.
"Continuation of Searches in the Disproportionate Assets case registered against Deputy Superintendent of Police, Police Computer Services O/o the DGP, Telangana State, Hyderabad. Earlier, Disproportionate Assets case vide Cr. No.21/RCA-CR-2/2026, dated 27.06.2026, under Section 13(1)(b) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), was registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, City Range-II, Hyderabad, against Sri Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, DSP, Police Computer Services, O/o the DGP, Telangana State, Hyderabad," the statement read.
