A minor monetary dispute at a snack shop in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, escalated into a violent clash as two groups attacked each other using bricks, sticks, bats, and a large samosa-frying spoon. The confrontation began when a group became enraged after receiving tamarind chutney instead of green chutney with their bread pakoda, leading to an assault on the shopkeeper and triggering a full-scale brawl in a busy market.
The incident gained widespread attention on social media after footage of the street brawl went viral.
The episode turned chaotic after one of them was captured using a huge frying spoon from the snack shop as a weapon. The video showed several bystanders trying to intervene and stop the brawl; however, the people involved in the confrontation did not stop the fight.

Videos captured a man being pulled and pushed around so much that his T-shirt is nearly torn to shreds. Another person then comes to his rescue, hitting the attacker with the strainer and leaving him dazed for a few moments. After gathering his wits, the attacker bends down to help a man seen lying on the road since the beginning of the video. Following this, two people were injured and were sent to hospital for treatment.
After the video surfaced on social media, police took cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation. Police are examining the footage to identify those involved in the fight.
Four people were injured in the incident. Pilkhuwa Circle Officer Munesh Chandra said two groups from the same community had clashed in Dehra village in a brawl. "The individuals involved in the incident are being identified based on the video and necessary legal action will be taken," Chandra.
The officer said strict legal action would be taken against those found responsible for disturbing public order.

The incident recalls the infamous "Battle of Baghpat," where a viral video captured a clash between owners of competing chaat stalls in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. In that brawl, rival groups fought over customers using sticks and iron rods.
The bizarre fight continued for about 20 minutes before it was stopped. The video, recorded possibly by a bystander, quickly found its way to social media.
At least12 people have been injured in the clash and eight have been arrested, the Baghpat police said in a statement. However, no one sustained any serious injuries in the fight
