Noida Airport's First Flight To Operate On Bengaluru Route, Not Mumbai; Check Timings And Ticket Prices As Bookings Open

Noida Airport First Flight: The first flight from Noida International Airport will not be to Mumbai but to Bengaluru and will depart on June 15. This IndiGo flight from Lucknow will first land at the Noida airport before continuing to Bengaluru.

The booking of flight tickets started on Thursday afternoon. IndiGo is set to operate the first flight, 6E 2278, as Akasa and Air India Express have not yet announced dates for their flights from Noida Airport.

IndiGo had announced to start flight services from June 15 after Noida International Airport received Airport Security Program approval from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.

Flight schedule released

The flight schedule was also announced at the airport on Thursday. This flight will arrive at 8:05 AM and will stop at the Noida Airport for 20 minutes. After that, the IndiGo flight will depart for Bengaluru at 8:35 AM.

The flight on its return journey, 6E 2279, will land at the Jewar airport at 6:20 PM. After a wait of 20 minutes, the flight will depart for Lucknow at 6:55 PM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Jewar airport. Since then, the airport has been under final safety checks.

International flights in the second phase

In the initial phase of operations, the airport will only handle domestic traffic. The airport will be an important alternative to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport and will help in sharing its flyer burden.

The international flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Southeast Asia and other regions are expected to resume in the next phase.

Noida-Bengaluru first flight ticket fare

As the bookings have started, ticket fare from Noida to Bengaluru on IndiGo's official website starts at Rs 8,900 for a one-way trip for a passenger.

The price would vary according to the passenger's journeya and other parameters.
