Krishna Kumar, the child's father, works for the Fire Brigade Department in Ratangarh, Rajasthan. He explained that the deceased was their first kid, born after eight years of consulting with physicians and praying at several temples. Unfortunately, the couple's delight was cut short at only nineteen days.

A few weeks ago, a family in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri has accused a nurse of causing their newborn's death by refusing to hand over the infant unless a payment of Rs 5,100 was made. They allege this led to a major delay in care.
