Rajasthan: In a horrifying crime, a woman and her live-in partner allegedly killed her four-year-old daughter and travelled over 300 kilometres to hide the child’s body in Rajasthan. The woman, identified as Roshanbai, along with her partner Mahavir Bairwa, transported the body from Jaipur to Baran district, concealing it in a plastic bag.
The tragic incident began with a heated argument between the couple at their Jaipur residence, during which little Ishika, Roshanbai’s daughter from her previous marriage to Ravinder Bairwa, was killed. After reaching Mahavir’s family home in Baran, the two reportedly wrapped Ishika’s body in a dupatta, stuffed it into a plastic bag, and hid it in a cupboard, according to a report by NDTV.

The gruesome discovery was made on May 31, 2025 when Mahavir’s father, Jairam Bairwa, noticed a foul smell and saw blood seeping from the cupboard. He then alerted the police.
Baran Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chaudhary confirmed that the girl had been living with her mother and Mahavir for the past seven months. While Mahavir has since been arrested, Roshanbai is currently on the run, and police have launched a manhunt to locate her.
