The UAE has said that they are resuming flight operations after temporary suspension amid regional war escalation across the country. Passengers with confirmed ticket for this afternoon may proceed to airport. Transit passengers in Dubai are also permitted, provided their onward connections are operational.
In an updated X post, the airline confirmed that passengers with departing flights scheduled for later today may proceed to the airport. This directive also includes transit travelers, provided their onward connections from Dubai remain operational.
“Emirates will resume operations. Passengers who have confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights may proceed to the airport. This includes customers transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flight is also operating,” the airline quoted.

The airline has also advised passengers to check status of upcoming flights and availability of seats through only official sites or channels before leaving homes fir airport. Emirates stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and will update its flight schedule as needed.

Major UAE Carriers Resumes Limited Sevices
Several major airlines, including Etihad, Air Arabia and flydubai, have begun restoring limited operations. Emirates is also set to resume its flight schedule following a temporary suspension.
Travelers holding confirmed bookings for departures scheduled from this afternoon onwards are cleared to head to the airport. This directive also includes transit passengers traveling via Dubai, provided their onward connecting flights are confirmed and operational.
Regional Airport Status
Both Ras Al Khaimah International (RKT) and Fujairah airports have restarted limited flight services. Authorities advise all passengers to stay informed through official channels and follow specific guidelines for rebooking.
Etihad Airways Update
As of March 6, 2026, Etihad Airways has reinstated a restricted commercial schedule, connecting Abu Dhabi with several key global destinations.
Rebooking: The airline is working to accommodate guests with existing bookings on the earliest available flights.
New Bookings: Tickets for upcoming travel can be purchased directly through etihad.com.
flydubai: Flydubai has also restarted their limited operations. Passengers can travel only with confirmed tickets and are advised to check flight status before traveling towards airport. flydubai avails rebooking options too with no extra charges for traveling between February 28 and March 31.

Air Arabia: Air Arabia has reinstated a restricted flight schedule to and from the UAE. Passengers with previously cancelled flights are eligible to rebook, provided they haven't already processed a refund or modification. While tickets can be managed through the airline's website, app, or travel agents, the carrier emphasises that only those with confirmed bookings or direct travel notifications should head to the airport.
Temporary Suspension
Few days earlier, the Emirates had announced a temporary suspension on all flights from Dubai until further update. They issued advisory for passengers not to travel to the airport while situation was not favorable.
In response to the disruptions, passengers scheduled to fly between February 28 and March 31 were given the choice to either rebook for travel by April 30 or apply for a full ticket refund.
