Vande Bharat Train Launch: With the aim of boosting rail connectivity between northwestern Karnataka and the state capital, the Indian Railway is set to launch the Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express Train on August 10, marking a significant step towards improving regional connectivity in Karnataka. The launch of Vande Bharat Express will coincide with the inauguration of Bengaluru’s Namma Metro Yellow Line, which is also scheduled to be launched on August 10.

The launch of a semi-high-speed train between Belagavi and Bengaluru is expected to reduce travel time and traffic congestion, while ensuring comfort and convenience.

Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Train: Check Route, Timings

The Belagavi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train will depart from Belagavi at 5:20 AM and reach Bengaluru at 1:50 PM on the same day. In its return leg, it will leave Bengaluru at 2:20 PM and arrive in Belagavi at 10:40 PM. Though the Indian Railway is yet to announce the final timetable, the train is expected to run six days a week.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, along with Members of Parliament Jagadish Shettar and Eranna Kadadi, thanked PM Modi for the extension of Vande Bharat services between north Karnataka and Bengaluru. Talking to reporters, Shettar said, “I followed it up with the Railway Minister, and the proposal was cleared in principle. But the delay happened due to the coach's availability. When I met the Prime Minister, I again requested the extension. He assured me action would be taken, and now officials have confirmed the service.”

PM Modi To Inaugurate Namma Metro Yellow Line On August 10

In addition to this, PM Modi will also inaugurate Bengaluru’s Namma Metro long-awaited Yellow Line on August 10, significantly boosting connectivity between RV Road and Bommasandra via Electronic City. The launch of the Yellow Line is expected to reduce traffic pressure on several key roads in tech zones.
