The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted that many regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand would face cold wave conditions, with the frigid winds persisting. Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are also experiencing low temperatures even though the sun is shining bright during the day.
The weather department has also forecast light to moderate rain and snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Some parts of East Assam, Nagaland and Meghalaya may also receive light rain. The coastal areas of Odisha may witness light rain at one or two places. Meanwhile, strong surface winds at a speed of 15 to 25 km per hour are likely to blow in North-West India.
