Monsoon rains were experienced in various parts of the country on Tuesday, bringing relief as well as challenges in equal measures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in various states including Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra on Wednesday.
State-Wise Weather Updates For July 10
Delhi Weather Updates
The national capital is likely to witness light rain in some parts of the city today, IMD said. The maximum temperature is forecasted to reach around 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum is likely to stand at 27 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The meteorological department also issued a yellow alert for light to moderate rain in Delhi on Thursday and Friday.
UP Weather Updates
After several days of comparatively lower temperatures, the heat has returned, coupled with increased humidity following the rain. On Wednesday, cloudy weather is expected in Lucknow and surrounding districts, with moderate rain anticipated in the next 24 hours. Eastern winds are predicted to blow at a normal speed.
Bihar Weather Updates
Light rain at isolated locations is expected in some areas of Central Bihar. Additionally, Bihar may witness an increase in lightning incidents, particularly in northern districts of the state.
On Tuesday, Aurangabad recorded the highest temperature in the state at 38.2 degrees Celsius, while the lowest minimum temperature was 25 degrees Celsius.
Uttarakhand Weather Updates
The Meteorological Department forecasts heavy showers in some areas of Dehradun today, with similar conditions expected in Champawat and Nainital. The intensity of rains has decreased across the Garhwal division, though Dehradun experienced significant rain in the evening after a sunny day.
Himachal Weather Updates
The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert, warning for heavy rains in Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Bilaspur, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts today. With by-elections on Wednesday, light rain is expected in Nalagarh, while Dehra and Hamirpur will remain cloudy.
