Jagran Correspondent, Mathura: In a tragic road accident, at least four people died and 25 got severely injured after a high-speeding bus collided with a trailer on the Yamuna Expressway in the early hours of Tuesday. As per the eyewitnesses, the collision was severe and created chaos among the passengers and the local residents. While several people died on the spot due to the impact of the collision, the injured passengers were rushed to a local hospital. 

Accident Created Chaos

While providing details, Mahavan CO Sanjeev Kumar stated that a private bus traveling from Lucknow to Delhi rammed into the trailer with a Rajasthan registration number, traveling in the third lane of the expressway. He further stated that the front portion of the bus got completely destroyed due to the impact of the collision. The accident led to chaos among the passengers, giving them a little time to react.

While the exact reason behind the accident is not known yet, the collision is likely to have happened after the bus driver lost control. The police, upon receiving the information, arrived at the site and launched a probe into the matter.

Injured Passengers Admitted To Hospital

The police, along with the help of locals, admitted the injured passengers to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving treatment. As per the reports, some of the injured passengers remain in critical condition. The administration has confirmed the death of four passengers, and the efforts are underway to identify them.

Earlier on Monday, two people were killed and 18 suffered injuries after a private-company-owned bus fell into a deep ravine in Maharashtra's Pune. The SEEPZ employees were travelling in a private minibus to Rajgad Fort for a trekking expedition. The bus plunged into a 40-foot-deep ravine.

The deceased have been identified as Vishwas Satim (25) of Vile Parle and Dhwani Thakkar (23) of Kandivali West, who were unconscious when they were pulled out of the debris and were later declared dead.
