Yoga For Sexual Stamina: Sexual intimacy formulates an integral part of a romantic relationship. From physical attraction to intimacy, the sexual health of an individual has a huge role to play in maintaining relationships. While we all experience that s*x drive, some people might face difficulties in experiencing healthy sexual intimacy. From delayed ejaculation, and dry orgasm to low stamina, many people struggle in their sexual life but do not come upfront to discuss it as it is still considered a taboo.

Apart from seeking medical attention to medications, yoga can also be effective in increasing sexual stamina and enhancing one’s sexual life. Various studies have found that yoga decreases stress levels in the body by reducing cortisol levels and further improves the overall sexual function of the body. Here are some easy-to-perform yoga asanas to increase your stamina and s*x drive.

1. Cat Pose

Also known as Marjariasana, cat pose is an easy-to-perform beginner yoga pose with many benefits. It is performed by combining the cow pose or Bitilasana to open up your spine. The combination of cat and cow pose helps in stretching the lower spine, hips and core muscles while opening the chest and lungs. It is an effective yoga pose to alleviate stress and promote good mood. Practising this yoga pose increases the blood flow to the pelvic area, which strengthens the muscles and boosts stamina.

2. Bridge Pose

Setu Bandha Sarvangasana or bridge pose gently stretches the chest, shoulder and abdomen while strengthening the mid to upper back muscles. This yoga asana can be practised as a resting pose. Practising this yoga pose has an abundance of benefits such as strengthening the back muscles, relieving the tired back instantaneously, giving a good stretch to the chest, neck and spine, calming the brain, reducing anxiety, stress and depression, opening up the lungs and reduces thyroid problems and helps improve digestion.

3. One-Legged Pigeon

One-legged pigeon or Eka Pada Rajakapotasana is an extremely effective yoga pose for increasing sexual stamina. It is a seated back-bending asana in modern yoga and is also known as Flying Pigeon Pose. This yoga asana helps in stretching the entire lower part of the body, stimulating the abdominal organs, strengthening the back, improving posture, helping open up the hips, making the hip region more flexible and opening up the chest region making you feel energetic and confident.

4. Happy Baby

Ananda Balasana or happy baby pose lets you lie on your back and roll from side to side. It is called a happy baby because as you perform this yoga asana while lying on your back and holding your feet, you resemble a happy baby. The happy baby pose doubles as a variation of the missionary position.

5. Child’s Pose

Child’s pose or balasana is an easy-to-perform yoga exercise that stretches your arms and thighs. It also helps in stretching your back and muscles around your hips, while resting the forehead on the floor. It is a forward bend pose that deeply relaxes your back, and calms the nervous system.
