Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Ants: The majority of us have to deal with the ants roaming in different corners of our house at any time of the day. Ants invading our rooms, and other house spaces, especially in our kitchens can be frustrating and unhygienic. Ants usually wander in houses in search of food or nesting habitat. While there are significant beliefs associated with ants in houses, all we want to do is get those ants out of our little abode. Here are some effective home remedies that you can try to get rid of ants in your kitchen and other house spaces.

1. White Vinegar

You can use white vinegar to repel ants from your house. To use vinegar, you need to make a 1-1 mixture of vinegar and water and use that water to clean floors, hard surfaces and other places where ants can form their habitat in your home. White vinegar acts as an effective repellent and its strong smell disrupts ants.

2. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is a well-known remedy used for keeping ants at bay. The presence of citric acid in lemon juice works effectively to make ants run away from your house spaces. You can squeeze some lemon juice at the entry points and areas within your kitchen, dining room, and other places to deter the ants from entering the areas.

3. Peppermint

Another effective remedy to repel cats from your abode is peppermint. You can use peppermint in numerous ways to keep ants away from your kitchen. You can take peppermint essential oil, soak a cotton ball within it and place it on doors, floor areas and other places in your kitchen where ants are found the most.

4. Tea Tree Oil

To use tea tree oil for repelling ants, mix about 5 to 10 drops of tea tree essential oil with about two cups of water in a clean plastic spray bottle. Now, spray this mixture at places where ants reside in your home or sip cotton balls in the mixture and place them in areas of your kitchen.

5. Lemon Eucalyptus Oil

You can also use lemon eucalyptus oil to repel ants from within your home. For this, you can saturate some cotton balls with undiluted lemon eucalyptus oil and place them in areas where you usually spot ants in your house.
