Mumbai local commuters travelling on the central and harbour lines will face disrupted service on Sunday, April 6, due to the proposed Mega block for maintenance and infrastructure work. The Mumbai Division of the Central Railway carries out blockages to ensure safety. 


Mumbai Local Mega Block Update

Main Line (Matunga-Mulund)

The Mumbai division blocks services on the Matunga to Mulund Main line from 11.05 am to 3:55 pm. The DOWN slow line services departing CSMT Mumbai from 10.14 am to 3.52 pm will be diverted on DOWN fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations, halting at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations and further re-diverted on DOWN slow line at Mulund station and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

Similalry, UP slow line services departing Thane from 11.07 am to 3.51 pm will be diverted on UP fast line at Mulund, between Mulund and Matunga stations halting at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion and further re-diverted on UP slow line at Matunga station and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

Additionally, all the trains arriving at CSMT or leaving from here between 11:00 am to 5:00 pm will reach their destination 15 minutes late from the scheduled time. 

Services Suspended On Trans-Harbour Line (Thane-Vashi/Nerul)

The UP and DOWN services on the Trans-Harbour line, travelling between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations, will remain suspended from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm. 

Harbour Line Block Update

A mega block will be in place on the DOWN line, covering the distance from Thane to Vashi/Nerul/Panvel, from 10:35 am to 4:07 pm. And UP line services for Thane leaving Panvel / Nerul / Vashi from 10.25 am to 4.09 pm will remain cancelled. 

The Central Railway said that the blocks are critical to ensure the safety of passengers through vital engineering and maintenance work. Passengers have been requested to plan their journey accordingly.
