Aman Sehrawat Bronze Win:  Young Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat won his Bronze medal match against Darian Cruz on Friday in the Paris Olympics 2024, continuing India's medal spree in successive Olympic games. Dominating his Puerto Rico opponent Darian since the beginning, Sehrawat maintained his lead despite facing some bleeding from a bruise over his nose.

With the latest medal in the Men’s freestyle 57kg category, India's tally at the Paris Olympics now stands at 6. Aman Sehrawat won his match by a huge lead of 15-7.

With Aman Sehrawat's bronze medal, India continues its streak of winning a wrestling medal at every Olympic Games since 2008.

Following his splendid win, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the young Indian wrestling star, hailing his 'dedication' and 'perseverance'.

How Has The Young Star Fared In Earlier Matches

Aman Sehrawat began the wrestling competition with impressive performances, securing a 10-0 victory over Vladimir Egomorov of North Macedonia in the Round of 16, and then defeating Albania's ZelimKhan Abakarov 12-0 in the quarterfinals. However, his winning streak came to an end in the semifinals, where he was defeated 0-10 by Japan's Rei Higuchi.
