iPhone 16 Leaks: Apple iPhone 16 series will likely launch in India in September 2024. The models could include the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The vanilla and the Plus variant are expected to sport a notable design change that may remind some people of the iPhone 12. Beyond the design, the rumour mill has leaked several details about the iPhone 16.

iPhone 16: Key Upgrades (Expected)

Apple iPhone 16 could get a 6.1-inch OLED screen with micro-lens technology for more brightness and lower power consumption, according to MacRumors. The screen may offer a 120Hz refresh rate this time. Under the hood, the model could use an A18 chipset and an upgraded Neural Engine for generative AI tasks in iOS 18.

iPhone 16 will likely support Apple Intelligence features that will roll out in beta this fall. iPhone 16 could get 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. As for the optics, it may offer a 48MP + 12MP rear and a 12MP selfie lens. However, the rear lenses could be aligned vertically (and not diagonally) in a pill-shaped bump to allow Spatial Video recording support.

The phone could sport a 3,561mAh battery with wired and wireless charging support. The model could bring an improved graphene thermal system. As for other highlights, the iPhone 16 could sport Wi-Fi 7, an Action Button and a 'Capture Button'. The new Capture Button could unlock a range of photo/video shooting capabilities on the device.

iPhone 16 Price (Expected)

As per reports, the price of the iPhone 16 may remain unchanged compared to the current vanilla model. For context, the iPhone 15 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 79,900 in September 2023. We expect the pricing to remain the same in the case of the iPhone 16. The smartphone may arrive in five shades: White, Black, Pink, Blue and Green.

Forbes speculates the announcement date of the iPhone 16 could be September 10. The first sale of the device could begin on September 20. This could also be the dates for the launch of the iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, note that Apple has not confirmed any of these details.
