Search giant Google renamed Bard to 'Gemini' and announced a Gemini Android app for users in the US. Next to these changes, the company introduced the Gemini Advanced with Ultra 1.0, the company's "largest and most capable" AI model. The model is more capable of complex tasks such as coding, logical reasoning, detailed instructions, responses based on contextual prompts and more.

The company cited examples and explained how the model can be a personal tutor, help with coding, and assist content creators. It will offer multimodal capabilities and improve overtime. Gemini Advanced will be available in over 150 countries and territories in English. More languages will be added soon, Google said. It is available in the Google One AI Premium Plan for $19.99/month.

Users can also try the model for two months "at no cost". The plan will offer all the existing benefits of the Google One Premium plan, including 2TB storage space. "In addition, AI Premium subscribers will soon be able to use Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets and more (formerly known as Duet AI)," Google noted. For the unaware, the company introduced its new AI model Gemini in December 2023.
