GOOGLE, which has reportedly been working on its BARD AI platform since OpenAI introduced the ChatGPT, is reportedly planning to improve access to its AI chatbot Bard on Pixel phones and tablets shortly by introducing an exclusive home screen widget on its devices. The report further suggests that the Bard AI would make its debut on Android soon with a dedicated home screen widget.

If the reports are believed to be true and Bard gets rolled out on Pixel phones and tablets, the Pixel phone users would be able to do a variety of tasks including writing a story, creating stories, and even other forms of creative writing within their phone’s home screen. It would also suggest some words for the conversations, says the report.

Although the precise functionality of Google's Bard widget on the home screen of the Pixel phone is unknown, it is anticipated that users will have a variety of styles and formats to choose from.

What’s not clear, is whether will Google introduce the Bard AI within Google Search or will it introduce it as a dedicated application. For those unaware, a home screen widget is a small app or feature that can be placed on a smartphone's main screen.

The Bard AI's entrance as a home screen widget for Pixel phones does not yet have an official release date, but it is anticipated that Google will make it available to Pixel users in the upcoming months, according to the report. Google offered certain Pixel Superfans the chance to test out Bard in March.

A "small, randomly selected group of Pixel Superfans" were given access to Bard by the tech giant, according to The Verge. "Meet Bard, an early Google initiative that enables generative AI collaboration. As a member of our Pixel Superfan group, we'd want to give you early access to Bard so you can get started as soon as it opens and provide feedback, the tech giant said in an email to users.
