MWC 2024: The Mobile World Congress is a busy time for companies to present their tech products. Amid a range of handsets at the showcase, Avenir Telecom has announced a smartphone with a 28,000mAh battery. Known as the 'Hard Case P28K', the device will be available via the Energizer label later this year.
According to the company, the handset can deliver a battery backup of up to seven days with regular use. Plus, the battery lasts for about five days with talk time. It has a whopping standby of up to 2,252 hours or close to 95 days, according to The Verge. Besides the "most powerful battery in the world", the rugged device also gets an IP69 rating for water and dust protection.

While it might look like an impressive device, it is not like your daily driver that you carry. It weighs 570g and has a thickness of 27.8mm. While it can charge at 33W, the news outlet reported the company has not shared charging stats from 0 to 100 per cent. As for some downsides, the P28K does not offer 5G connectivity, which might end up as a limitation that may hinder its sales.
The Energizer Hard Case P28K starts from 249.99 Euros and will be available for purchase from October 2024 in the global markets (not in the US). According to Avenir, the phone will be a viable pick in areas and industries where power supply is a concern.
