Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi K Pad 2 in China, expanding its tablet lineup with a compact yet powerful device. The tablet is aimed at users who want strong performance without moving to a large screen form factor.

It comes in Deep Black, Electric Purple, and Space Silver colour options and is currently up for pre orders in the country.

Price And Availability

The Redmi K Pad 2 starts at CNY 3,399 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM option is priced at CNY 3,799, while the top 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model goes up to CNY 4,799.

The tablet is available for pre order via Xiaomi’s online store in China. There is no word yet on global availability.

Compact Display With High Refresh Rate

The Redmi K Pad 2 features an 8.8 inch 3K LCD display with a resolution of 3008 x 1880 pixels. With a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, it becomes one of the best panels in this range.

In addition to that, the display panel has peak brightness up to 1100 nits, Dolby Vision, HDR, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The tablet is also certified by TUV Rheinland for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian-Friendly features.

Top of the Line Performance

The tablet comes equipped with a 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, along with Mali G1 Ultra graphics processing unit and MediaTek 990 neural processing unit. It supports up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

On the software side, it runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Cameras And Multimedia

For optics, the Redmi K Pad 2 includes a 13 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies. It supports video recording up to 4K at 30fps.

Battery And Connectivity

The device has a huge 9100mAh battery that also comes with a 67W fast-charging feature. Additionally, it can be used to charge other devices via 22.5W reverse charging.

For connectivity, there are the Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual USB Type C options to consider. Furthermore, there are additional features such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and hall sensor on the device.

Construction And Design

The gadget is designed to be sleek and slim, with thickness measuring 6.62 mm and weight approximating to 345 grams.
