Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ at its recent Galaxy Unpacked event, alongside the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The new flagship duo also includes Samsung’s latest in-house 2nm Exynos chipset, improved displays and bolstered Galaxy AI capabilities. With a custom skin of Android 16 (One UI 8.5), the Galaxy S26 series is built with a grit on the basis of speed, performance efficiency, camera consistency, and premium build quality to bolster Samsung’s flagship portfolio for 2026.
Display and Design
The Samsung Galaxy S26 features a Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display measuring 6.3 inches with a refresh rate of 120Hz compared to its predecessor and features a Quad-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen measuring 6.7 inches, which features the same refresh rate at 120Hz; all displays come covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
Performance and Software
Both run on Samsung’s 2nm Exynos 2600 chipset with a prime core that can clock as high as 3.9GHz and are paired with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. Samsung also talks of a redesigned vapour chamber that allows for 29 per cent improvement in heat dissipitation. The phones ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 overlay on top of it, bundled with Galaxy AI features for productivity tools, communication tools and on-device intelligence.
Camera Capabilities
The Galaxy S26 and S26+ share an identical triple rear camera setup:
- 50MP primary sensor with OIS
- 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS
- 12MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree field of view
On the front, both phones feature a 12MP selfie camera. The rear cameras support up to 8K video recording at 24/30 fps and 4K recording at up to 60 fps.
Battery and Connectivity
The Galaxy S26 comes with a 4,300mAh battery with support of up to 25W charging both wired and wirelessly. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S26+ offers 45W fast charging support via both wired and wireless methods. In terms of connectivity options, there is 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, USB Type-C support, as well as enhanced satellite navigation support.

Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ Price in India and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy S26 starts at Rs. 87,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB + 512GB model costs Rs. 1,07,999. The Galaxy S26+ is priced at Rs. 1,19,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version and Rs. 1,39,999 for the 12GB + 512GB option. Both smartphones are available in Blue, Black, Purple, and White colour options and will go on sale in India via Amazon and the Samsung online store.
