China is the first place where Vivo has unleashed its OriginOS 6 extravaganza, going live with BlueOS 3 for its smartwatch line alongside. Essentially, this Android 16-based update is the Vivo X300 Pro and X300 experiment. The news after that is a gradual rollout across other Vivo and iQOO models from November 2025 onwards.
The new interface brings a striking design overhaul, with a heavy influence from Apple’s Liquid Glass aesthetics seen in iOS 16.

OriginOS 6 unveils a daring new design which permeates the home screen, lock screen, and app layouts. The dynamic, fluid interface takes on the concept of curved icons, transparent layers, and depth effects, offering a modern, futuristic look. One of the most admired features is definitely the resizable clock widget that changes its size depending on notifications received. At the same time, new blur transitions and circular elements that are spread out throughout the user experience help to bring the new <br> design theme into context.
Apple's Dynamic Island concept, with which Vivo is familiar, has led it to develop a similar application called "Atomic Island", their version. Through this floating interface, the users have effortless access to music, timers, and notifications. Consequently, they can seamlessly operate them without interrupting the main screen flow. Moreover, the control centre went through updates to streamline fresh features, including customisable quick settings, layered notifications, and the pace of transition that is smooth and fluid, thus pleasing the senses alike.
Performance and AI-Driven Features
Vivo has not neglected to highlight the strengths of their endeavour with the introduction of the Blue River Smooth Engine, a program that is chiefly responsible for the general stability and smoothness of the animations. The new engine, which adopts super-core computing and dual-rendering architecture, causes the latency to be minimised and the performance of high frame rates to be maintained at a level that is close to uniformity.
One of the first questions that might come to mind when thinking of AI is, "What good can it do for me?" Well, here are a few ideas: The Live Photo AI Removal tool is the first to come to your mind. Certainly, it is capable of removing the background in motion pictures. Besides, Circle to Search 2.0 has also been advanced, so now the user can locate, mark, and instantly get accompanying data for any item in a photo-shot scenario without delay. Along with its other instruments, the AI image editor now includes resolution upscaling and background removal as well.
BlueOS 3 for Wearables
However, Vivo has also rolled out the BlueOS 3 to complement the new Vivo Watch 5 and iQOO Watch 5 models, this watch OS boasting a host of novel features, extended battery life, and visually striking animations. Among those features, Blue Heart V calling and customisable watch faces definitely deserve a mention.
