WhatsApp, which has recently made numerous changes to its visual aesthetics, is reportedly rolling out a new chat interface with a new default chat theme to iOS users. The Meta-owned instant messaging platform aims to provide a better chat experience. The WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.12.10.77 update is now available via the TestFlight app, and the feature is being rolled out with this release.
Additionally, the platform is testing five default chat themes, which will be rolled out with future updates, bringing the total number of themes to ten, including the green theme. These new themes will include different colours for chat bubbles and wallpapers, allowing users to customise their messaging experience. It means that the various themes will now allow users to customise the experience based on their chatting experience.
Another important aspect of the feature is that selecting themes is more personal and exclusive to each user, which means that the theme chosen by the sender will not be visible to the receiver, as is the case with Instagram. It will ensure that the personalisation options are preserved while having no effect on the receiver's user interface.
With the upcoming updates, it is reasonable to expect WhatsApp to introduce more customisations and changes to improve the user experience. The company is currently in testing and will be released with future updates.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is working on the new Channel Analytics feature which will offer detailed insights into their audience and content performance through specific metrics. The feature is currently under development and will be rolled out in the coming weeks with the update. Till then, the users can access the future by downloading WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.13.10 update from the Google Play Store.
