Xiaomi Buds 6: Xiaomi has unveiled its new true wireless earbuds, the Buds 6, in China, as the successor to the Buds 5, which were launched back in July 2024. The new Buds 6 come with a semi-in-ear design for comfort, as well as a charging case with a bionic curved design. The Xiaomi Buds 6 have been priced at CNY 699, which translates to around Rs. 8,935, coming in four colors: Moon Shadow Black, Pearl White, Titanium Gold, and Nebula Purple, which are available for pre-order along with availability from December 27 on Xiaomi’s website.

Design & Build
The Buds 6 weigh very little, with each of the earbuds weighing only 4.4g, and the charging case weighs 35.4g. The size of each earbud is 31.77x17.17x20.56mm, and the charging case size is 52.34x52.57x24mm. The half-in-ear design provides a snug, comfortable fit in the ears, regardless of who wears them, and they also have IP54 dust and water resistance
Audio and Features
The audio system is improved through the use of “Golden Ear” tuning by Harman Kardon, along with support for various codecs, such as AAC, SBC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and LC3. The earbuds also come with Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) for better audio in noisy surroundings, in addition to a separate recording function known as Headphones 2.0. The use of Bluetooth 5.4 guarantees a stable connection within a range of 10 meters.
Battery life & Charging
Battery life is another feature that stands out in the Buds 6. The battery in each ear bud is 35mAh, while that in the charging case is 475mAh. Xiaomi promises a battery life of six hours without ANC, and a total of 35 hours with the charging case. With ANC on, the battery life for the ear buds is 3.5 hours and a total of 20 hours with the charging case.
