Telangana Rain News: Torrential rain has been battering the southern state of Telangana for the past few days, claiming six lives across Telangana, with fresh fatalities reported in Mahbubnagar and Jagtial districts. Two deaths were reported on Friday, taking the total toll in rain-related incidents to six.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of intensified rain across the state on Saturday, as a fresh round of rainfall, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds, is likely to strike the state.
Telangana Weather Today: Nizamabad On Orange Alert
According to the weather forecast bulletin released by the IMD on Friday, several districts in the state have been placed on an orange alert, while multiple other districts have been put on a yellow alert for rainfall.
Nizamabad, B.Kothagudem, Others On Yellow Alert
The weather department has placed 8 districts in the state on an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated locations in many places. The weather department said that it is ‘very likely’ that districts will observe this weather pattern. Districts, placed under an orange alert, are- Nizamabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagitial, JayashankarBhupalapalle, Kamareddy, Mulugu, Nirmal and SangaReddy.
Telangana Weather Update: Yellow Alert In Adilabad, Hanumakonda, Others
The weather department has put multiple Telangana districts on a yellow alert high possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated locations in multiple areas. The yellow alert has been sounded for the following districts-Adilabad, Hanumakonda, Karimnagar, Komaram Bheem, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Medak, Peddapalle, Rajanna Siricilla, Vikarabad, and Warangal.
As per the weather forecast for Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, generally cloudy skies with spells of rain or thunderstorms are expected in the coming days. The IMD has also warned against thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds reaching 30–40 kmph.
Telangana Weather Update: Heavy Rain To Continue For Coming Days
Several districts of Telangana will remain under orange and yellow alert till August 19 as there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across the state. The weather department has placed an orange and yellow alert on the basis strong and weak probability of the aforementioned weather conditions to occur.
