Noida Culinary Expansion:  As the Noida International Airport is anticipated to be operational by April 2025, several corporates are setting up offices in the city and hundreds of homebuyers are relocating to the new housing hubs along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Greater Noida West.

As a result, well-known restaurant brands in Noida and Delhi are taking advantage of this opportunity by opening numerous branches to satisfy the palates of the expanding population.

Noida’s Gastronomy Expanding Rapidly

Homegrown businesses in Noida, like Desi Vibes, which first set up shop in the handy Sector 18 market 20 years ago, are now branching out to Sector 75 and Greater Noida West. But that's not all. Bollywood actress Sunny Leone and Sahil Baweja of Singing Bowls Hospitality opened the Chica Loca restaurant at Gulshan One 29 in Sector 129 in Noida last year. Sector 94 of Noida also saw the opening of Virat Kohli's One8 Commune.

A number of new restaurants with a variety of dining options have emerged in the commercial complexes along the expressway, including Sectors 92, 142, 137, 129, and 104 in Noida, as well as new shopping centres in Sector 4 in Greater Noida West.

Why Noida's Culinary Scene Rising?

According to real estate analysts, the three main reasons why Noida's culinary scene is improving are:

  • The delivery of residential projects after a 10 to 12-year break and the opening of multiple corporate stores in the micromarket.
  • Restaurants are attempting to capitalise on the more expansive floor area and relatively affordable leasing prices found in recently constructed commercial and retail buildings that provide sufficient parking and amenities. Their goal is to seize the market before the new airport drives up rents.
  • Developers provide incentives to well-known retail companies in order to persuade them to open branches in their new complexes. This could take the kind of capital expenditures, or even a "bouquet" agreement whereby the developer opens restaurants in several locations owned by him.

More Licenses To Medium To Large-sized Eateries

Over the past four years, the food licensing department has also awarded more new licenses for medium-to-large-sized eateries. Approximately 2000 licenses were granted in 2021. This rose to about 2700 licenses until November of 2022, 3100 licenses in 2023, and 2200 licenses in 2022.

Quality Real Estate Pushing Demand

According to a HT report, Deepak Kapoor, director of Gulshan Homz, which owns Gulshan129, a commercial property along the Expressway in Sector 129, stated that Noida had only one commercial district for a long period, Sector 18. To address the rising population's need for new industries, realtors are building sophisticated infrastructure to accommodate restaurant businesses looking to expand to several sites.
