UP Liquor Shop Timings Extended: A sense of celebration is in the air as Christmas and New Year draw near. As a result, the Uttar Pradesh Excise Department has prolonged the booze shops' closing hours. Liquor stores will stay open an extra hour, on three designated days in December.

Beer and liquor will be available from 10 AM to 11 PM on these days. The dates that have been set aside are December 24, 25, and 31. On these days, liquor and beer stores will stay open past their regular closing time of 10 PM until 11 PM.

Liquor stores will stay open till 11 PM on December 24 and 25 for Christmas celebrations and on December 31 for New Year's Eve, according to the direction given by Uttar Pradesh Excise Commissioner Dr Adarsh Singh.

All District Magistrates and licensing agencies received a letter on December 12 informing them of this decision.

In general, Uttar Pradesh liquor stores are open from 10 AM to 10 PM. People looking forward to New Year's Eve have embraced the extension of hours.

In addition to buying a lot of alcohol for get-togethers with friends, many people leave their houses to attend parties at hotels, restaurants, and other locations. The Excise Department apparently decided to expand business hours in part because of the substantial money it receives from this increased demand.
