Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-starrer ‘Barbie’ hit the theatres on July 21, 2023, alongside Christopher Nolan’s 'Oppenheimer'. Greta Gerwig’s film outperformed all of its rivals by a wide margin. With 'Barbie', Greta also established the record for a female director's largest debut.

Barbie’ has already made an astounding $1.28 billion at the global box office, including her $711.9 million foreign total. In terms of 2023 releases, it is currently trailing ‘The Super Mario Bros’ Movie ($1.36 billion), although it will catch it before the film's run is through.

Barbie OTT Release Date

The vast array of Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms has satisfied the ardour of ‘Barbie’ fans who anxiously anticipated its online release following its theatrical premiere. According to a report in Economic Times, the movie will make its digital debut on September 5, 2023.

The film can now be pre-ordered on Amazon for a modest price of $19.99. The pre-order window will exclusively be available on Amazon Prime Video in the United States, while the same privilege has yet to extend its embrace to the digital screens of the OTT giant's Indian domain.
