Among the 112 aspirational districts in the country, Fatehpur has emerged as the top performer in implementing various Central Government schemes, notably exceeding targets in the Atal Pension Yojana by a remarkable 376 per cent. As per the State Level Bankers Committee report for 2023-24, Fatehpur achieved 10,850 enrollments against a target of 2,886.
Other districts also showed commendable performance. Chitrakoot exceeded its target by 259 per cent, enrolling 7,468 beneficiaries under the Atal Pension Yojana. Chandauli and Siddharthnagar followed closely with 5,658 and 5,308 enrollments, respectively.
In the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Bahraich surpassed its target of 9,772 by achieving 17,560 nominations. Meanwhile, under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Chitrakoot and Fatehpur recorded 42,439 and 40,996 nominations, significantly exceeding the target of 30,303.
Additionally, districts like Shravasti, Balrampur, and Sonbhadra also demonstrated strong implementation of these social security schemes, further strengthening the development momentum in aspirational regions.
