A 35-year-old man allegedly killed himself after killing his wife and two sons in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district on Sunday. The man took this step due to a family dispute, police said on Monday stating that they have sent the body for the post-mortem examination and a probe is underway.
The deceased were identified as Shravan Ram (35), his wife Shashikala (30) and their two sons Surya Rao (7) and Mitthu (4 months). Police also found a suicide note from Shravan’s pocket in which he said that he was committing suicide after killing his family due to family disputes.
Superintendent of Police S Anand said they found the bodies of the woman and children in an orchard in front of their house in Devdeeh village of Ballia district while the man was found hanging from a tree on Sunday night. He added that three people were killed with a sharp-edged weapon.

Police said that the family members of the victim informed them that a family dispute case was going on between him and his wife in a local court in Ballia. They stated that the couple had a dispute on some issue after which this incident took place.
Police have sent the bodies for the postmortem examination and they have also initiated an investigation into the matter.
