Two traders from Ghaziabad's well-known Turab Nagar market were burnt to death and two others were seriously injured in a horrific accident near Rewari on Monday night. The tragedy occurred at Banipur Chowk when a chemical tanker overturned on the highway and burst into flames, engulfing the traders' Creta car which was traveling behind it.

The four friends—Rishi Arora (of Welco Shoes), Sumit Goyal (New Jai Durga Saree Centre), Vineet Mittal (Megha Saree Centre), and Sanjeev Singhal (Shri Ram Handloom)—were on their way to visit the KhatuShyam temple. According to Rajnish Bansal, Chairman of the local Traders' Association, they had set off around 11 pm as Tuesday is the market's weekly holiday.

The car, which belonged to Rishi Arora, was being driven by Sumit Goyal. Arora was seated in the front passenger seat, while Vineet Mittal and Sanjeev Singhal were in the back. The flames spread so rapidly that the two traders in the back seat were unable to escape and died in the fire. Goyal and Arora managed to get out but sustained serious burn injuries.

News of the accident reached the Turab Nagar market on Tuesday morning, sending a wave of grief through the community. The shops of all four traders are located near each other, and the tragedy has left fellow merchants in shock.
